An exciting role has arisen in the I.T. Department at Jumeirah Group & Corporate for a highly motivated and hard working individual. The main purpose of this position is to administer to the day to day IT Operations focusing and providing high availability and performance of IT systems managed by Group IT while adhering to Jumeirah Standards and Service Level Agreements.

Your key duties will include:

• Monitor the performance and availability of servers to make sure they are running at optimal performance.
• Perform pro-active maintenance tasks following company standards.
• Anticipate imminent hardware, networking or Database problems and liaise with relevant team members to implement resolutions.
• Generates statistics reports monthly for the Director of IT Operations
• Configure backups for servers
• Ensure that all server data is backed up to tape daily
• Regular Restore tests to check integrity of backups.
• Act as contact with Info Fort for backup related matters.
• Tests new software before deploying across the company
• Automate Software Deployment
• Deploy OS critical and security updates
• Build and deploy standardized Operating Systems.

In order to be considered for this role, you will have gained a Bachelor Degree in I.T/Computer Science or Microsoft Certification or ITIL certification and will possess a minimum of  3 years experience working in relevant field.

You will have excellent knowledge of Blackberry Enterprise Server Administration, experience with Symantec Backup Exec, Citrix Server Administration and Administer RSA Authentication. You will have a Network Troubleshooting skills with experience in System Center Products.

Your interpersonal and customer service ability will be excellent with proficiency in communication skills in written and spoken English.
